How About You?
What’s God calling you to do today?

Check This Out…
In the Old Testament, there was a boy who worked in the temple. His name was Samuel. One night, as Samuel was sleeping, the Lord called Samuel. Samuel didn’t know it at the time, but God had some very big plans for Samuel. When Samuel realized that God was calling him, Samuel replied, Speak, for your servant is listening. (I Samuel 3:10)

Years later, God called the prophet Isaiah to do a very tough job. In Isaiah 6:8, Isaiah tells us, Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

God called these two servants do to some amazing things. Think about the amazing acts God called Noah to do. Others like Moses, David, Mary, and Paul all did as God asked them to do.

God might be calling you to do big things too with your life. Chances are, though, that he’s calling you to do small things that add up to a life of service just as important as the life of Mary or of Moses. He’s calling you to help the classmate that’s having trouble in the subject that you’re good at doing. God’s calling you to smile and give a hug to your parent today. God’s calling you to reach out to your friend, your neighbor, or the person that you haven't quite met yet. We don’t know how or when God calls, but when he does, we need to say, “Your servant is listening. Here I am. Send me!”
