The Bible has some pretty big things to say about love.  Take some time to read the 13^th chapter of the book of I Corinthians.  Look especially at verses 4 through 7:

 

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 

Now, this isn’t the kind of love that’s usually celebrated with hearts and flowers, but it IS the kind of love the Bible celebrates!  So why not take a holiday like Valentines Day and celebrate it ourselves?  Take a look at how important God thinks love is by reading the last verse in this chapter all about love:

 

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
