Down Gilead Lane, Season 4 | Episode 5

INSOMNIMANIACS

Season Description

Season Four of Down Gilead Lane solves the mystery of Grace’s accident! In this season, the kids decide to take matters into their own hands, and “”Operation Lemonade”” is put into action. Pretty much everybody in Coleraine knows something about that night, but why don’t they want to talk about it? The kids are going to find out!

Today’s Story

Freshman final exam week is making Brooke’s world a living nightmare!

But she has a plan: A whole weekend of non-stop studying. That will give her the edge she needs to “ace” her finals. Will her around-the-clock study session cause a caffeine-induced stress out before she even takes one test?

But Brooke isn’t the only Morrison pulling all-nighters.  Michael is struggling with, well – don’t call them nightmares.  Nightmares are for babies,” he says. Call them whatever, Mikey – but the fear of having more bad dreams means it’s sleepless in Coleraine!

How about you… If you regularly attend a church and spend time in the Word, (and we hope you do!) then so many times we hear to “trust the Lord with all you heart” and even more about “His peace, which transcends all understanding.” But do those ideas really stick in your heart and our mind with the daily grind or big life problems start pressing down on you?

Check this out…  Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. (Mark 4:18-19)

Sometimes it’s hard to hear the truth of God’s always present love for us when we’re battling other things that seem much more real because they’re right in front of us – like a big test at school or a mean kid that won’t leave you alone. That’s why God tells us it’s important to hide His Word in our heart – get to know the Bible!

By learning and memorizing scripture, God can call up His special brand of “peace” when you need it most.

Spend time reading the Word and let God give you the strength to push those worries out of your head.
