It’s almost time to go back to the beach! But poor Haley, she’s not up with the latest styles in swimwear. So she turns to the experts in Teen Zone Magazine. Unfortunately, her parents have forbidden her to read any magazines that encourage girls to look attractive to boys.

“But WHY MOM?!?” seems like good question, until the magazine attracts some unexpected interest…from her brothers.

HOW ABOUT YOU…Do you think being considered attractive is one of the most important things in your life?

CHECK THIS OUT…Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1Peter 3:3&4).

First, God is NOT saying looking good is wrong. It’s more when our obsession with looking good comes at the expense of developing our inner selves that we should be on guard against. 

Looking good is fine! As long as you consider looking good in God’s eyes your first priority.
