General Summary: Keys for Kids Ministries is seeking someone who has a passion to reach kids, teens, and their families for Jesus Christ to help coordinate, organize, plan, and implement two fundraising events (luncheon (May)/dinner (Oct)) to help raise awareness and funding for Keys for Kids Ministries. Responsible for coordinating events, including planning menus, booking musicians, putting up decorations, ordering flowers, and ensuring the event runs smoothly. | |||
Essential Functions include (but are not limited to): A follower of Jesus Christ and can sign the Keys for Kids Statement of Faith. Self-motivated. Incredible attention to detail. Experience in coordinating large events. Calculate budgets and ensure they are adhered to. Book talent (as needed). Select venues. Plan layout of seating and decorations. Schedule speakers, vendors, and participants. Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met. Initiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to publicize event. Oversee design for promotional materials. Prepare presentations. Develop and oversee fundraising events. Negotiate and secure event space. Coordinate and secure sponsorships. Work with printer and designer to develop event invitations. Create invitee list. Send out invitations and manage RSVP list. Coordinate volunteers and staff to manage the event. Manage correspondence. Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations. Qualifications: Previous experience within a Fund Development setting of a non-profit organization. Strong ability to communicate, both written and verbally, about the organization and its mission. Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate connecting with camps across the country. Ability to interact with all levels of constituents including board, donors, and community leaders. Required skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and general internet functions. Some comfort with social media and Raiser’s Edge (donor database) preferred. | |||
